Minnie Mae Grile

Minnie Mae Grile, 103, of Lancaster, Ohio passed away on March the 25th at Bickford of Lancaster with family at her bedside. She was born February 11, 1922, to the late Warren and Phobe Crist.

She was an avid fan of Ohio State Football most of her life. She enjoyed traveling and camping with her late husband, family and friends. She also was a charter member of Faith Lutheran Church, as well as, a charter member of the Fire Bells for Baltimore Fire Department. Minnie was a member of the Liberty Union Girl's Basketball Team that won the county tournament in 1938.

She is survived by daughters Gloria (Ronnie) Swinehart, Tanis (Dan) Gall, and Deb Ballenger; daughter-in-law Rosemary Grile; 9 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 17 great-great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Proceeded in death by husband Loy B. Grile; son Thomas J. Grile; her parents; and brothers and sisters.

The family wants to thank Bickford employees, Summit Hospice and her very special granddaughter Sherry Mee, for her special loving care for the last 15 years.

Viewing and funeral services will be at Faith Lutheran Church, 990 S. Main St. Baltimore, Ohio, on Monday, March 31, 2025. Viewing will be from 11:00-1:00 followed by the service officiated by Pastor Diana K. Gugel. Burial will follow at Floral Hills Memory Gardens.

Guests have the option to wear OSU colors and shirts.

The family requests, in lieu of flowers, that a donation be made in Minnie's name to Faith Lutheran Church.
