Mildred Taylor

Mildred E. Taylor, of Baltimore, passed away at Logan Health Care Center on April 23rd, 2012. She was born in Fairfield County to Edward and Florence Shaner on Aug. 9th, 1923. She was a member of the Thurston United Methodist Church; the Pythian Sisters; the VFW Ladies Auxiliary #3761; Rebekah's Lodge of Millersport; and she was a past President of the Millersport Senior Citizens.
She was survived by her daughter, Nancy (Doyle) Clark of Logan, OH; grandson, Ralph Edward (Fonda) Welker of Logan, OH; great-grandson, Lane Welker; step-granddaughter, Tammy (Freddy) Etzler of TN; step-great-grandchildren; Amanda, Ashland, and Ayden Etzler; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by husband, Raymond "Bill Taylor; parents, brother, Jake (Eileen) Shaner; and sister, Margaret (Bill) Maher.
A service will take place at the Thurston United Methodist Church at 10:30AM on Friday, officiated by Rev. Dr. Rebeka Maples. Family and friends may call at the JOHNSON-SMITH FUNERAL HOME on Thursday from 4PM until 8PM and one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorials can be made in Mildred's name to the Thurston United Methodist Church.
