Michael "Mike" A. McGee

Michael “Mike” A. McGee 62 of Lancaster, Ohio passed away on Sunday, September 3, 2023 at his residence surrounded by his family.

He was the owner and operator of Forsythe Floors and later became a lock smith for Pickerington Local Schools with 18 years of service.

Mike was a member of the Lancaster Masonic Lodge # F & AM where he was a Master Mason, Fraternal Order of Eagles Aries #2120 and a trustee of Pasapo Boat Club.  He was a the former director of the Lancaster Soap Box Derby and a former member of the Lancaster Men’s Chorus.

Mike is survived by his wife of 20 years, Susan McGee; mother, Donna Forsythe of Canal Winchester; brother, Mark (Mary) McGee of Carroll; sisters, Penny (Chris) Hollett of Lancaster and Kristi (Mark Brennan) McGee of New York; step brothers, Dr. Mike (Linda) Forsythe of Amanda and Scott (Melanie) Forsythe of Florida; aunt Carol Craft of Lancaster; nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and his canine companion, Riley.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lori Leigh McGee, father and step mother, Jack E. and Paula K. McGee, mother-in-law and father-in-law, Bernie and Lura Roth and step father, Jerry Forsythe.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, September 9, 2023 at 5:00 p.m. in the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 405 N. COLUMBUS ST., LANCASTER, OHIO 43130.  Caring Cremation® to follow.  Inurnment will be held at a later date in Maple Grove Cemetery, Lancaster. Friends may visit from 2-5:00 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
