Michael Thomas

Michael Alan Thomas, 67, of Baltimore, passed away on February 25, 2018. He was born on February 14, 1951 in Lancaster to the late Melvin and Mary Lou Thomas.

Mike graduated from Millersport High School class of 1970. He was a member of the Millersport United Methodist Church, “Old Friends Euchre Club”, Millersport Alturas Lodge #537 F. & A.M where he was a 32 Degree Scottish Rite Mason, the Farm Bureau, Golf League, served for 12 years on the Walnut Township School Board, and was on the Fairfield County Farm Service Agency County Committee serving as a pioneer in Farmland Preservation.

Mike was patriotic and loved his country. He was a third generation farmer for Mer-Mel Farms, carrying on his father’s legacy operation under Thomas Farms. Mike was an athlete. He enjoyed playing and watching sports with his children and grandchildren, they were his pride and joy. Mike enjoyed golfing, traveling with family and friends, and gathering as a family for “Sunday Dinner”.

Mike is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Wanda Thomas; his sons, Jason (Rachel) Thomas, and Justin Thomas; daughter, Janae (Shawn) Johnston; grandchildren, Georgia, Tucker, Trey, Mimi, Ty, and Tessa; siblings, Marcia, Sue, and Mark; and many cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, family, and friends.

A funeral service will take place at 11 A.M. on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at the Millersport United Methodist Church with a 1 hour viewing prior to the service, officiated by Pastor Jerry Wiles. Burial will follow at Floral Hills Memory Gardens. Family and friends may visit from 2-8 P.M. at the JOHNSON-SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 207 S. MAIN ST. BALTIMORE, OH, 43105 on Friday, March 2 where a Masonic service will be held at 6 P.M.
