Michael Sutton

Michael T. Sutton 69 of Groveport, Ohio passed away Friday, September 8, 2017 at his residence. He was a Vietnam veteran and retired from the US Air Force as a Master Sargent with 23 years of service. He also worked for the State of Ohio Adjutant Generals Office as a purchasing agent.

He was a member of Groveport Presbyterian Church, Grandview Masonic Lodge 618 F & AM, Order of Eastern Star Chapter 365 and the American Legion.

Michael is survived by his wife of 47 years, Jean; daughter, Athena (Jason) West of Amanda, Ohio; six grandchildren, Kesley, Jeremiah, Dorothea, Kennedie, Cole and Sophia; sisters, Rose (Leon) Golden of Pleasantville, Ohio, Kaye (Earl) St. Clair of Logan, Ohio and Gwen (Roy) Clair of Michigan and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his son, Jeremy Andrew Sutton, parents, Dalton and Georgie Sutton, 5 brothers and 2 sisters.

Friends may visit Tuesday, September 12, 2017 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 405 N. COLUMBUS ST., LANCASTER, OHIO 43130. A private graveside service will be held at Floral Hills Memory Gardens with Pastor Christina Piper officiating. The Lancaster Veterans Burial Detail will conduct military rites at the cemetery.
