Michael Peters

Michael Gene Peters, age 65, of Lancaster Ohio, died Sunday, September 20, 2015 at The James OSU Cancer Center in Columbus, Ohio.

Mike was born on June 3, 1950 to the late Dolores and Earl Peters. He was a life-long resident of Lancaster and recently retired from Diamond Power in May of 2015 where he was a member of the local Steelworkers Union.

Mike is survived by his wife of 34 years, Lou Ann (Baughman) Peters; children, Michael (CeCe) Peters, Doug Peters, Tracy (Peters) Holtel, Adam (Nicole) Peters and Sara Peters, 11 grandchildren and one great grandchild, brother, Tom of Roseburg, OR., sisters, Carol (Peters) Wiseman and Linda Peters of Lancaster; uncles, Mel Peters of Rushville, Paul Peters and Cecil Peters of Lancaster.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Rob Peters.

Funeral service will be held Thursday, September 24, 2015 at 1:30 p.m. at the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, 405 N. COLUMBUS ST., LANCASTER, OHIO 43130 with Rev. Robert Tussing officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Lancaster, Ohio. Family and friends are welcome to visit Wednesday, from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
