Michael Hall

Michael Dwayne Hall, 48, passed away March 1, 2015, at his home in Lancaster, Ohio where he had been in hospice care for the last month after being diagnosed with Melanoma in 2013. He was the son of Jim and Zenna Hall of Vienna, WV and graduated from Parkersburg High School in 1984 and The Ohio State University in 1998 with a degree in Architecture. At Parkersburg High he was a member of the Big Red Band and a member of the Big Red Band Alumni Association.

Michael was employed at Nationwide Children's Hospital as Project Engineer, supervising the construction and remodeling of buildings for the hospital. He was a Deacon for the Lancaster Church of Christ. He will be remembered for his love of antique motorcycles having a sizable collection of them. He will also be remembered for his love of children which made his job at Children’s the perfect fit.

Michael is survived by his wife of 27 years, Martha House Hall; a son, Blake Hall (25); two daughters, Kristin Hall (24) and Alexis Gauthier (Cody) (22); a sister, Janet Hall Thomas; and two brothers, David Hall and Jon Hall (Anita). Also surviving are his niece, Shelby Thomas and nephew, JC Thomas.

A memorial service will be held at the Lancaster Church of Christ, 1779 Granville Pike, in Lancaster, Ohio on Saturday, March 7, 2015 at 2 pm with Jason Blackwell and Jason Thompson conducting the service. In lieu of flowers the family asks the contributions be made to Nationwide Children's Hospital in Michael’s memory.
