Michael L. Couch 60 of Lockbourne, Ohio formerly of Sugar Grove, Ohio passed away Sunday, September 1, 2013 at his residence.
He was born on September 21, 1952 in Lancaster, Ohio to the late James and Mary Daubenmire Couch. He was a Vietnam veteran serving in the US Army from 1971-1974 as a helicopter mechanic with Troop A 7th Squadron 1st Calvary. He was a retired machinist and a life member of the Lancaster VFW Post 1516.
Michael is survived by his daughter, Jamie (Johnny) VanBlarcume; son, David Couch all of Columbus, Ohio; four grandchildren, Brandon, Ryan, Kayla and Hannah; brothers, Keith (Margaret) Couch of Baltimore, Ohio and Stephen (Laura) Couch of Sugar Grove, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held Monday, September 9, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. in the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL AND CREMATORY, 405 N. COLUMBUS ST., LANCASTER, OHIO 43130 with Pastor William C. Lavely officiating. Caring Cremation® has taken place. Burial to follow in Old Fairview Cemetery, Rockbridge, Ohio with the Lancaster Veterans Burial Detail conducting military rites at the cemetery. Friends visit 1 hour prior the service on Monday at the funeral home.
