Melissa Anne Williams, 53 of Carroll, Ohio passed away on Friday, January 11, 2019 at Arbors at Carroll Rehabilitation Center, surrounded by family.
She was born on May 10, 1965 in Lancaster, Ohio to the late Russell Williams and Hattie (Shy) Williams.
God sent us Melissa to give us a glimpse into heaven. She cherished life and loved her Lord, family, friends, and her community to the fullest. But she didn’t just love, she was love. When she bowled or fished or danced or hugged those around her, she was love. Her orneriness filled our lives with laughter and her innocence filled our lives with awe. Our wish is that we all be more like Melissa.
She was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church, liked bowling and flowers. She liked to work with the kids at her church and remind the Reverend about the time change. Melissa was a cheerleader, loved to laugh, take nature walks which she enjoyed. She loved music and the many proms and dances she attended. She knew a lot of people we didn’t know; people always acknowledged her in public without us knowing who they were, until we were introduced by her.
Melissa is survived by her mother, Hattie L. Williams of Lancaster, Ohio; sister, Melinda Jensen; brother, Raymond (Karen) Williams all of Lancaster, Ohio; nieces and nephews, Jenny, Amy, Ashley, John and Walt; great nieces, Emma C., Violet, Madie, Kinley and Emma H.; great nephews, Matthew, Dylan, Justice and Jamison; special cousin, Shirley and aunts and uncles.
She was preceded in death by her father and brother-in-law, Don Jensen.
