Max H. Miller

Max H. Miller 91 of Pleasantville, Ohio passed away on Saturday, May 29, 2021 at Riverside Methodist Hospital.

He was born on May 25, 1930 in Amanda, Ohio to the late Ward and Mary Miller.  He was a graduate of Amanda High School and served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict.

Max was a lifetime farmer and recognized as one of Jaycees Outstanding Young Farmers for Ohio.  He was a past Liberty Union-Thurston School Board member, volunteer fireman with Thurston Fire Department, and a former member of Rushville Union Lions Club.  Max is a member of Thurston United Methodist Church.

Max is survived by his wife of 68 years, Laura; sons, David (Connie) and James (Sally) Miller; grandchildren, Jon (Mindy), Derek (Jennifer), Andrew (Audrey) Miller and Lynda (Joshua) Whetstone; great grandchildren, Jaden, Cambria, Carley, Cara, Kaeda, Carter, Hudson, Callahan Miller, and Sarah, Alexandra, and Lauren Whetstone; several nieces, nephews and special friend, Don “Butch” Reincheld.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Don, Joe, Raymond and Berlin Miller, sisters, Monna Young, Mildred Justus, Norma Miller and Esther Willis.

Funeral service will be held Friday, June 4, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. at the Family Farm in the Barn, located at 5105 Richland Rd. NE, Pleasantville, Ohio 43148 with Rev. Clara Kwon and Rev. Dr. Rebeka Maples officiating. Friends may visit Thursday from 4-7 p.m. at the Family Barn and 1 hour prior to the service on Friday. Burial will be held later at the farm near Thurston, Ohio.
