Matthew Bastian

Matthew Balton Bastian, age 41, of Pickerington, died July 4th, 2015 at Pickering House. Matt was born on March 30th, 1974 in Columbus to his parents Paul G. and the late, Jaqueline Lindsey Bastian. He was a 1992 graduate of Liberty Union. Matt enjoyed life, especially spending time with his family while camping and being outside with nature. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Matt is survived by his loving wife, Shannon L. Bastian; daughter, Emma L. Bastian; step-son, Allen Rowland, father, Paul G. Bastian; brother, Michael W. Bastian; father and mother–in-law, Tom and Bonnie Heflin; uncle, David Bastian; aunts, Jeannine (James) Lawrie, Judy Storts, Janice Foote, and special aunt, Donna Walters; other grandparents; uncle; cousins; and in-laws.
The family would like to give a special thanks to all the wonderful staff at both Rockmill Rehabilitaion and also the Pickering House.
A funeral service will take place on Thursday at 10:30AM at the JOHNSON-SMITH FUNERAL HOME in Baltimore. Burial will follow the service at Lithopolis Cemetery. Family and friends may call on the family on Wednesday from 5PM until 7PM, and one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the funeral home.
