Mary "Nonie" (Barnes) Henwood

Mary “Nonie” Henwood, 91, passed on Saturday, July 22, 2023 with all of her family by her side.
She was born in Bremen, Ohio on Monday, March 28 1932 on her grandparent’s farm to the late Vernon and Mildred (Thomas) Barnes.
She married the love of her life, Ted Henwood, on November 20, 1948. Together they had five children and were married 60 years until his death on September 20, 2008.
Nonie was a member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church-Colfax. She loved being a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great grandmother, sister, and aunt. She also enjoyed planning holidays, travelling, and playing cards and games.
Nonie is survived by her children, Jodie (Ron) Seymour, Ruth Henwood, Mark (Senda) Henwood and Rachel (Robert) Hamilton, five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and two great, great-grandchildren; brother, Lowell Barnes; sisters: Jeannette (Frank) Daubenmire, Carole (Elton) Monosmith,
Rita Beach, Vickie (Rich) Pinkstock, and Pam (Russ) Covoltchick; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Timothy Edward; sisters Betty (Paul) Thompson, Brenda Barnes and Connie Barnes; brother Ronald (Ellen) Barnes; brothers in law, Chuck Beach and Oliver Nicholson, and sister-in-law, Betty Barnes.

Caring Cremation™ has taken place through the Frank E. Smith Funeral Home.
