MaryAnn Roberts

MaryAnn Roberts, 77 of Lancaster, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 2, 2023 at Fairfield Medical Center. MaryAnn was born on May 15, 1946 in Logan, Ohio to Rosezella Shaw and the late Frank Shaw.  She worked for Lancaster Glass Corp. and later retired from Lancaster City Schools.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Darrell Roberts and her daughters, Angela (Jeff) Kempton and Amy Roberts and her grandsons, Jordan (Tayler) Kempton and Jack Kempton.

MaryAnn was preceded in death by her father Frank W. Shaw and granddaughter Addison O. Kempton.

She enjoyed sewing, doing cross-stitch and outdoor gardening but most of all she loved to read!  She also loved reading to her grandchildren when they were little and took every opportunity to do so.

Funeral service will be held Friday, October 6, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. in the Frank E. Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Lancaster, Ohio 43130 with Chaplain Betsy Magill officiating. Entombment will be held at Fairview Mausoleum, Rockbridge, Ohio.  Friends may visit Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorial gifts may be given to the Multiple Sclerosis Association of America, 375 Kings Highway North, Suite B, Cherry Hill, NJ 08034 in her memory.
