Mary Lou Sanders 82 of Lancaster, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, September 4, 2013 in her home with her children by her side. She was a member of the Women of the Moose, Ladies Auxiliary of the V.F.W. and the Eagles. She volunteered for many organizations including Muscular Dystrophy, V. F. W. poppy sales, Homeless Veterans’ projects, Community Action and Maywood Mission. She helped organize many benefits and functions to raise money for those in need. If you had a cause, she could raise the money. Mary was preceded in death by her mother, Bertha Thomas and granddaughter, Mary Dawn Beaver. She is survived by her children, Linda (Gary) Kilbarger, Sharon (Regan Musgrove) Sanders, Donna (Rod) Reynolds, Sandy (Henry Filio) Sanders, Debi Beaver and Donnie (Cheryl) Sanders; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mary was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and will be missed by her family and friends as she made a significant impact on everyone’s life that she touched. SHE WAS THE ULTIMATE OSU FAN; please wear your favorite college team clothing to the service. Funeral service will be held Saturday, September 7, 2013 at 7:30 p.m. in the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL AND CREMATORY, 405 N. COLUMBUS ST., LANCASTER, OHIO 43130 with Chaplain Linda Ward officiating. Caring Cremation® to follow. Friends may visit Saturday from 4:30-7:30 p.m. at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest in St. Mary Cemetery at a later date.
