Mary Moore

Mary Elizabeth Moore age 93, of Lancaster, went to be with our Lord and Savior peacefully at Lan-Fair Center on February 26, 2017. She was a loving Mother, Grandmother, and friend to many. Mary was born on May 7, 1923 in Logan, West Virginia to the late George and Ona Jeffrey.

Mary loved to travel, quilt, paint, do crafts, and be with her family. Mary loved children and to many she was affectionately known as our Nanny. She will be sadly missed.

Mary is survived by daughter, Rita (Carden) Hiles and son, Randolph G. Moore of Lancaster. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of over 40 years Ray Sr.; two sons Ray, Jr. and William J Moore; two sisters ; and seven brothers. She leaves 10 Grandchildren, 17 Great Grandchildren; 11 Great-great-grand children; and several nieces and nephews.

Mary is a member of the Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church. Order of the Eastern Star Millersport # 301 and The Order of the White Shrine of Jerusalem (Mt. Pleasant).

The family would like to thank ALL the staff at Lan-Fair Center. She loved you all and you made her last few years meaningful and enjoyable. Thank you to FairHope Hospice for your care and gentle guidance during her last few days.

Caring Cremation ® has taken place and a memorial service will be at the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME on Thursday, at 7:30 PM starting with the Order of the Eastern Star and then officiated by Pastor Todd Noland. Family and friends may visit from 4 PM until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will take place at a later date at Pleasant Hill United Methodist Cemetery.
