Mary Vess Loeding

Mary Ann Vess Loeding, 80, of Sugar Grove, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, January 11, 2017, following a battle with cancer.

Mary Ann was born in Newark, Ohio, on Sept, 15, 1936, to the late Eber Vess and Elsie Dupler Vess. She graduated from The Ohio State University and pursued a career as a registered nurse.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Charles Harden of Mt. Vernon, Ohio, and sister, Ruth Higgins of Birmingham, Alabama.

Mary Ann is survived by her husband, Dr. John Rodan Loeding, Sr., to whom she was married April 30, 1966; son, John Loeding Jr. and fiancée Heather Shively of Woodstock, Georgia, son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Amy Loeding of Billings, Montana and son and daughter-in-law, Matthew and Jessica Loeding of Waleska, Georgia; five grandchildren, Luke, Jack, Olivia, Emma and Abigail.

A private graveside service will be held for the family in Stukey Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 405 N. COLUMBUS ST., LANCATSER, Ohio 43130.
