Mary K. Lamb Kloda 92 of Lancaster, Ohio passed away Thursday, June 9, 2022 at the Pickering House. She was born in Valley City, Medina County, Ohio on September 6, 1929 to the late Elmer and Vera Zacharias Klooz.
Mary lived the first two years at Lafayette, Ohio then moved and grew up on a dairy farm near Sullivan. She graduated from Sullivan High School as co-valedictorian in 1947. Mary went on to attend Ashland College. Mary then met Herbert Lamb whom she married on August 26, 1951 and became a pastor’s wife until his death on April 15, 1972. She later married Hillard Kloda on October 9, 1999 until he passed away on August 8, 2019.
Mary taught elementary school at Liberty Union School System. She was a member of the Little Country Church and Fairfield County Retired Teachers Association.
She is survived by her daughter, Rebecca “Becky” Fair of Loveland, Ohio; M. Andy (Debbie) Lamb of Lancaster and Dr. Mark (Dr. Michelle) Lamb of Avon, Indiana; numerous grandchildren; great grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
Mary was preceded in death by her husbands, parents, 3 brothers, 2 sisters, son-in-law Jim Fair and granddaughter Jami Fair.
Funeral service will be held Friday, June 17, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at the Little Country Church with Pastor Richard Boucher officiating. Burial will follow in Fairfield Baptist Cemetery, Thurston, Ohio. Friends may visit 1 hour prior to the service at the church on Friday.
Arrangements are being handled by the JOHNSON-SMITH FUNERAL HOME, BALTIMORE, OHIO.
