Mary Helena Jenkins 97 of Pleasantville, Ohio died Friday, March 4, 2011 at Crestview Manor Nursing Home. She was a member of Rushville Church of Christ in Christian Union, Rushville Senior Citizens, served on the Maywood Mission Board and Rushville Grange.
She is survived by her daughters, Rev. Mary L. Burroughs of Delta, Ohio and Betty R. Chapman of Richmond, Kentucky; son, Russell M. (Ruth Ann) Jenkins, Jr. of Logan, Ohio; 13 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell M. Jenkins, Sr., parents, George P. and Emma Hixenbaugh Gordon, brothers, John Franklin, Hugh, George, and Martin Gordon, sisters, Marie Lust and Jeannette Bishop.
Funeral service will be held Tuesday, March 8, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. in the FRANK E. MSITH FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, 405 N. COLUMBUS ST., LANCASTER, OHIO 43130 with Chaplain Karl Hartmann officiating. Burial to follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens. Friends may visit Monday 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
