Mary (Tyo) Hanley, 84, Lancaster, passed away on Tuesday, May 28, 2013.
Mary was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Post #283, V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary Post #3761, and the Order of the Eastern Star, Eugenie Chapter #507. She was the past vice president of the Southeastern Ohio Ladies Democrat Party and past president of the Mingo Estates Civic Association.
Mary is survived by her husband of 61 years, Melvin Hanley; son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Jane Hanley; and grandsons, William and Robert Hanley.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Noah and Anna (Enoch) Tyo.
A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Thursday at the JOHNSON-SMITH FUNERAL HOME, Baltimore, Ohio. Burial will take place at 10:00 a.m. Friday in Greenlawn Cemetery, Nelsonville, Ohio.
