Mary Gilmer

Mary K. Gilmer, age 88 of Baltimore, died Oct, 22nd, 2015 at McCafferty Adult Care Center. She was born on January 11th, 1927 to the late Harry and Ethel Wilkins in Carroll. She was a member of the New Zion United Methodist Church. Mary raised her family while also working full time for 33 years at Anchor Hocking. She will be greatly missed.
Mary is survived by her son, John (Rose) Gilmer of Baltimore; son-in-law, Ron Lutz, of Baltimore; and grandson, Chad Sims and family of Baltimore.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth L. Gilmer; daughter, Linda Lutz; parents; sisters, Dorothy Arter, Joan Farley, and Gerri Fisher; and brothers, Robert and Donald Wilkins.
A funeral service will take place on Tuesday at 10:30 AM at the JOHNSON-SMITH FUNERAL HOME, Baltimore. Burial will follow the services at Floral Hills Memory Garden. Family and friends may call on Monday from 2-4PM and 6-8PM at the funeral home. Memorials can be made in Mary's name to either the Basil-Joint Fire Dept.
