Mary K. Duvall

Mary K. Duvall, 74, went to be with the Lord and her beloved husband on Tuesday, October 22, 2024. She was born in Akron, Ohio on July 16, 1950, to the late Carl and Delores (Hulbert) Jonke. 

Mary was a graduate of St. Vincent - St. Mary High School of Akron. She enjoyed watching shows and movies with her grandchildren, including Spiderman, k-dramas, Bob the Builder, and The Wiggles. She loved to read, especially murder mystery books. Mary was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. 

Mary led a life of overflowing kindness and compassion; to know her was to love her. She deeply loved the Lord, her children, grandchildren, family, friends, animals, and everyone she encountered. Mary was genuinely a one-of-a-kind angel who walked the earth and touched the lives around her. Her life was an incredible example of a life well lived. 

Mary is survived by her children, Denise (Tony) Wahoff, Michelle (Adrian) Munt, and Dan (Bethany) Duvall; grandchildren, Hayden, Mason, Adam, Madelyn, Maya and Gavin; siblings, Judy Brown, Cheryl Short, John Jonke and Ed Jonke as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Delores Jonke; her husband of 37 years, John Edward “Ed” Duvall Jr; sister, Trudy Anderson as well as other close family and friends. 

A funeral service will take place Sunday, October 27, 2024, at 3:30 PM at Violet Baptist Church, 8345 Blacklick-Eastern Road NW, Pickerington OH 43147. Friends and family may visit from 2:00 to 3:30 at the church. A private graveside will be held at a later date.
