Mary Eunice Daniels Cuba 91 of Lancaster, Ohio with her son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Phyllis Daniels passed away Monday, June 6, 2011. Mary was born at Georges Creek, Johnson County, Kentucky on March 24, 1920 to the late Rilda Castle Stambaugh and Lafe Stambaugh.
Mary was a homemaker most of her life. She worked outside the home for short periods of time. She was very family oriented. She liked to sew, cook, and take care of her family. Mary was a member of the United Baptist Church of Mechanicsburg, Ohio.
She is survived by her sons, Robert L. (Phyllis) Daniels, Sr. of Lancaster, Ohio and Isaac David (Judy) Daniels of Columbus, Ohio; step-son, Randall McKenzie of Kilbourne, Ohio; son-in-law, Carmine Blanton of Sunbury, Ohio; 14 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren; sister, Tootsie Castle of North Carolina, several nieces and nephews. Mary was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, grandmother, great grandmother, and great great grandmother that will be sadly missed. Her family was the most important part of her life.
The family would like to express extreme gratitude and thanks to all who helped in Mary’s care like Alternacare, Passport, central Ohio Home Health Agency, Risch, Fairfield Medical Center, and Crestview Manor Nursing Home.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, L. T. Daniels, Frank McKenzie and Andrew Cuba, parents, daughter, Betty Blanton, sons, Larry, John, and Richard Daniels, grandson, Joe Blanton, great grandson, Mark Rice and sister, Mae Daniel.
Funeral service will be held Friday, June 10, 2011 at 12:30 p.m. in the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, 405 N. COLUMBUS ST., LANCASTER, OHIO 43130. Burial to follow in Glen Rest Memorial Estate. Friends may visit 2 hours prior the service on Friday at the funeral home.
