Mary Kay Conkle, 70, of Lancaster, passed away on April 10, 2018 at her residence. She was born in Columbus to the late Dennis and Goldie Lee on June 21, 1947.
Mary was a 1966 graduate of Liberty Union Schools. Over her lifetime, she worked at many different jobs including: Grant Medical Center, JC Penny, Memorial Hospital, Scroggins NSG and Home Health Care, Dr. Guisinger’s office, and Grant Hospital life flights. She also traveled with the Red Cross for over 16 years as a phlebotomist.
Outside of her work, Mary had many interests. She enjoyed painting, baking, sewing, and was able to play many instruments by ear.
Mary is survived by her husband, Charles Conkle; children, Timothy Mathew Robberts, Greg (Angela) Allen Walter, Jerry Brian Walter, and Denver (Cheryl) Ray Conkle; grandchildren, Aaron, Elijah, Evan, Brad, Gabe, Issac, and Rachel; sisters, Martha Sanders, and Tammie Ebright; many many nieces and nephews; special friends Terry and Yvone Dawson, and Ann Leonard; and her 3 Yorkies.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and nephew, Douglas Sanders.
A funeral service will take place on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at 12:00 P.M. at the JOHNSON-SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 207 S. Main St., Baltimore, OH, 43105 with Pastor Tom Gill officiating. Burial will follow at Union Evangelical Cemetery. Family and friends may visit on Friday, April 13 from 2-4 P.M. and from 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
