Mary C. (Zalipski) Wilson

Mary C. Wilson, age 91, died March 7, 2022 at the Pickering House in Lancaster, Ohio.
Mary graduated in the class of 1952, from St. Francis Hospital School of Nursing, Columbus, Ohio. She was a member of St. Francis Alumni Association. Mary worked as an R.N, for several years & then became a Director of Nursing. A position she held for over 30 years. She worked for several years as a Director of Nursing for Gaulden Manor Nursing Center in Baltimore, Ohio, Utica Nursing Center in Utica, Ohio. She retired from Crestview Nursing & Rehabilitation Center #2 in Lancaster, Ohio During those years she was a member of several nursing organizations, including, Ohio State Nursing Association, Director of Nursing Association & The Nursing Home Area Training Center.
Mary also, was a Licensed Social Worker & a member of Social Workers of Ohio. She belonged to AARP and Olivedale Senior Citizen Association, in Lancaster, Ohio.

She is survived by her children Greg A. (Cathy) Wilson, Chris M. (Bob) Bolden, and Cindy (Greg) Taylor; grandchildren Gregg (Jennie) Wilson, Holly (Buddy) Anderson, Jeffery (Jenny) Hiles, Angela Wilson, and Sarah (Walt) Crihfield; 15 great grandchildren, with one more due in June; 4 great great grandchildren; her best friends Helen and Nancy; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mary is preceded in death by family, and friends, John M. and Elsie Mae (Rust) Zalipski, Joseph Zalipski, Judith Zalipski, Rene Zalipski, Howard Wilson, James Street, and Evelyn “Pete” Blum.

The family of Mary Wilson would like to thank the people of Fairhope Hospice for the loving care they provide.

Family and friends may visit Friday, March 11, 2022 10:00 – 12:00PM, followed by a memorial service at 12:00PM, at the JOHNSON-SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 207 S. Main Street, Baltimore, Ohio 43105.
