Marvin Downard

Marvin L. Downard Jr. “Doggie”, 71, of Johnstown, passed away on March 6, 2015 surrounded by family. He was a loving and caring husband, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother.

Marvin is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Susan Downard; Loving children, Linda (Doug) Smith, David (Patty) Schaller, and Thomas (Kimberly) Schaller; Loving grandchildren, Grant, Abigail, David, Thomas, Jacob, Olivia, and Vivian; previous wife, Margaret Downard; Loving children, Marvin Downard, Mare (Troy) Castner; loving grandchildren, Eric, David, Michael, Travis, Trenten, and Marlee; sister, Margaret Bowland; sister-in-law, Hellen Downard; several great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will take place on Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at 1 p.m. at the JOHNSON-SMITH FUNERAL HOME located at 207 S. Main St. in Baltimore with Pastor John Dotson officiating. Burial will follow the service at Floral Hills Memory Gardens in Lancaster. Friends and family may visit during calling hours on Tuesday from 12 p.m. until 1p.m. at the funeral home.
