Martha Lorene (Belcher) Snoke

Martha Lorene Snoke, age 98, formerly of Sugar Grove and Lancaster, passed away peacefully on May 30, 2022 after complications from a recent surgery. Born on March 25, 1924 to the late Floyd and Lucille Belcher, she married the love of her life, the late Francis “Frank” Snoke. They married and had two children David and Diana.

Martha retired from Berne Union Schools and was happy to serve as the Grand Marshall for the 4th of July Stars and Stripes parade.

Martha is survived by her son, David (Pamela) Snoke and Diana (Dennis) Rose. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Gregory (Jennifer) Snoke and their children, Charlie and Ellie Snoke. Lori Snoke and her daughter, Katelyn Jarrell; Eric (Lacey) Snoke and their children, Sarah, Benjamin, and Zachary; Erika (Daniel) Jackson and their son, Evan.

Extended family: Amy (Bob) Shetrone and their children, Taylor (Teddy) Johnson and Sam; Sarah (Doug) Franke and their children, Brittany, Madison, Myla, Malynn, and Liam; and Bethany (Heath) Martin and their son, Jacob.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Frank, and brother, Glen Belcher.

A funeral service will take place on Friday, June3, 2022 at 10 AM at the Frank E. Smith Funeral Home 405 N. Columbus St. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery,  5600 E. Broad St. in Columbus at 11:30AM.  Family and friends may call from 4PM until 7PM Thursday at the funeral home.
