Martha Carroll

Martha B. Carroll 77 of Lancaster, Ohio passed away Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at her residence.

She was born in Lancaster, Ohio on January 27, 1939 to the late Joseph and Ivy Thornton Gehard. She had worked for Anchor Hocking Glass Corp. in the sleur dept.

Martha is survived by her daughters, Pamela (Tom) Renko of Lancaster, Ohio and Marsha Hastings of Kenton, Ohio; grandchildren, Michael Carroll, Heather Treen, Vinson Hastings, Tiffany Hastings, and Randall “R.J.” Renko; two great grandchildren; sisters, Virginia DeWeese of Columbus, Ohio, Margie (Golden) Carper of SC, Thresa (Fred) Hyme of Lancaster, Ohio and Susie (Randy) Fahrer of Norwalk, Ohio; brothers, Edward Gehard and John Gehard all of Lancaster, Ohio; many nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to express a special thank you to her caregiver, Irene “Sis” Tanner and the other caregivers that helped with Martha’s care.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard Carroll, Son, Rodney E. Carroll, parents, granddaughters, Laura E. Renko and Sarah K. Renko , many brothers and sisters.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, March 12, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. in the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, 405 N. COLUMBUS ST., LANCASTER, OHIO 43130 with Fr. Thomas Kessler as Celebrant. Burial will follow in Forest Rose Cemetery. Friends may visit Friday from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
