Mark E. Hoover, 61, passed away surrounded by his family at OSU Wexner Medical Center on Friday, November 8, 2024. He was born to the late Robert and Rosetta (Harrod) Hoover in Middletown, Ohio on January 4, 1963.
Mark was a truck driver in Thornville, Ohio. He was a big Ohio State Buckeye fan. Mark loved traveling to dirt bike races with his two twin sons and grandchildren. He was a lifelong avid boater on Buckeye Lake. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his sons and grandchildren.
Mark is survived by his children, Brandon Gutridge, Marcus, Wyatt, and Wayde Hoover; grandchildren, Jason, Kaylynn, and Ellie Hoover; siblings, Judy (Bob) Cleland, Tim Hoover, Robin (Dan) Henderson, Crystal (Randy) Fuller, Robert “Pete” Hoover Jr., Tena (John) Singleton, Christine (Jim) Swain, Ralph Hoover, and Albert Hoover; aunt Alicia Claytor; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert H. and Rosetta Hoover, and brother, Byron “Biff” Lemaster.
A funeral service will take place on Friday, November 15, 2024, at noon at the Johnson-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, 207 S. Main Street, Baltimore Ohio. Friends and family may visit from 11:00 AM until the time of the service. Burial will follow at Millersport Cemetery.
