Marjorie Ety

Marjorie T. Ety 94 of Carroll, Ohio passed away Monday, May 21, 2018 at Fairfield Medical Center. She was born on October 10, 1923 in Lancaster, Ohio to the late Clarence and Louella Leavitt Tipple. She was a Lancaster High School Graduate Class of 1941 and worked for Sears.

Marjorie was a member of Shalom United Methodist Church and the Carroll Senior Citizens Center.

She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Willard M. Ety; daughters, Cindy (Charles) Woods of Carroll, Ohio and Cathy (Jim) Tucker of Charleston, South Carolina; sons, James Townsend of Reynoldsburg, Ohio and Steven (Soozi) Ety of Grove, Oklahoma; son-in-law, Michael Kelly of California; grandchildren, Nicole (Jeremy) Johnson, Tom (Julie) Townsend; great grandchildren, Jessica Rapp, Tyler Rapp, Ava Rapp, Maggie Townsend and Charlie Townsend; step-grandchildren, step-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Marjorie was preceded in death by her daughter, Jean Kelly, granddaughter, Jessica Woods, parents, brothers, Clifford, Devon, and Lester Tipple and sister, Eileen Prevost.

Funeral service will be held Thursday, May 24, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. in the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, 405 N. COLUMBUS ST., LANCASTER, OHIO 43130 with Rev. Peter Borhauer officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens. Friends may visit Wednesday from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. and 1 hour prior to the service on Thursday at the funeral home.
