Marilyn Weldon Pierce

Marilyn Elizabeth Weldon Pierce, 89 of Millersport, finished the race God put before her on September 22nd, 2021. Born December 6th, 1931, the youngest child of Rudy C. and Elizabeth Wooten Weldon in Detroit, Xichigan and soon became an avid Buckeye Fan.

Long time resident of Millersport, 1949 Graduate of Millersport High School, Charter Member of the Fairfield County Drug Abuse Board, Lifetime Commissioned Notary Public, Deputy Registrar Bureau of Motor Vehicles, 2nd generation owner of Weldon's Ice Cream Factory, former member of Millersport Board of Public Affairs, and long time supporter of schools.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband James Edwin Pierce in 1977, brother Harold Weldon, sister Dorothy Hansberger, grandson Jamie Becker and great grandson Malachi Jones, nephews Rudy Hansberger, Pete Hansberger, Phil Weldon, brothers-in-law Dr. Charles Hansberger and Charles "Dutch" Pierce, nieces Nancy Hansberger and Patty Hansberger.

She is survived by children Janet (Dennis) Jones, Steven (Kerry) Pierce, Lisa (Guy) Geiger, Stuart Pierce, and David Pierce. Grandchildren Amy (Clint) Ervin, Angela Jones, Molly Becker, Andrew (Becky) Jones, Mitchell Pierce, Ben Pierce, Jamie Pierce, Gavin Geiger. Eleven great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, Tish Hallam, Mike Hansberger, special niece Kathy Hansberger Matthews,  Bob Weldon and Lana Guinan, sister-in-law Goldie Weldon. Many Northern and Southern Cousins,
including special cousin Carolyn Weldon Ricketts and faithful companion Sundae.

Family and friends may visit at the Millersport United Methodist Church on Tuesday from 2PM until 4PM and 6PM until 8PM and one hour prior to the services.  A funeral service will also take place at the Millersport United Methodist Church on Wednesday at 10:30.
