Marian J. Rawlins, 79, of Lancaster, passed away on Thursday, July 28, 2011, at the Pickering House.
Marian was a good hearted woman who was a friend to all and will be sadly missed. She attended Blessings Memorial Church. She also worked for 16 years at Hallmark and was a Girl Scout Leader.
Marian is survived by her sons, Alan M. (Judy L.) Rawlins and Steven (Leslie) Rawlins; daughter, Michelle (Tim Shealy) Barker; grandchildren, Lisa (Jim) Vanover, Dana (Shannon) Rutherford, Michael (Renee), Matthew, Alexander, Connor, Theron, Daemon, Aries, Aria, and Elisha Rawlins; great grandchildren, Joshua Lynch, Sophia Vanover, Toby Rawlins, Connor and Madison Rutherford, and Makayla Rawlins; many loved nieces and nephews; and special niece, Teresa (Ricky) Stevens and their children, Breton, Amber, and Tifney.
Marian was preceded in death by her loving husband, Herbert Rawlins; sons, David Michael Rawlins and Keith Rawlins; and her parents, Erwin and Ruth Zabel.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm Monday at Blessings Memorial Church, 980 Woodland Avenue, Lancaster, Ohio with Pastor Jim Vanover officiating. Caring Cremation has taken place with the Frank E. Smith Funeral Home. Burial will take place at a later date in Monroe Cemetery, Oak Hill, Ohio.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Marian's memory to FairHoPe Hospice, Susan G. Komen for the Cure, or the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
