Margaret Poston

Margaret Ellen (Waits) Poston 92 of Lancaster, Ohio passed away Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at the Arbors of Carroll. She was born on May 7, 1923 to the late Claude and Dana Waits in Lancaster, Ohio.

She spent her childhood years in Lancaster and many years in Houston, Texas while married to her husband, Pete. She returned to Lancaster later in life and spent her remaining years there.

Margaret was a bank teller both in Texas and Lancaster, where she retired from National City Bank.
She had a great love for animals and especially her dogs over the years including poodles and bichon. She loved to read and send letters and cards to family and loved ones. She had a big heart and a kind loving spirit.

Margaret is survived by her sister, Carol Leist of Lancaster, Ohio; many nephews, nieces and great nephews and nieces, whom she loved like her own children.

She was preceded in death by her husband William ‘Pete” Poston, parents, and brother, Jerry Waits.

She was loved dearly by those who knew her and will be greatly missed. A special thank you to all the aides and nurses that helped take care of her as if she was family. She spoke highly of all your love and care.
A private family service was held in the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 405 N. COLUMBUS ST., LANCASTER, OHIO 43130. Caring Cremation® followed the service.
