Margaret Peg Fisher, 80, of Lancaster, passed away on Friday, September 20, 2013, at Crestview Skilled Nursing Center.
Peg retired after 42 years of service with Ohio Bell. She was a lifetime member of the Telephone Pioneers of America and a member of the C.W.A. Local 4310. She was a volunteer at Fairfield Medical Center. Peg loved to play bingo and most of all she loved her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Peg is survived by her, daughters, Susan Fisher and Sandra Fisher both of Lancaster; grandchildren, Maria Shahan of Nelsonville, William Shahan of Lancaster, Sarah Shahan of Logan, Kala Landrum of Lancaster, and Zachary Fisher of Lancaster; 18 great grandchildren; sisters-in-law; brothers-in-law; and many nieces and nephews.
Peg was preceded in death by her husband, William Bill Fisher; daughter, Sheila Shahan; infant son; grandchildren, D.J. Shahan and Jessica Shahan; parents, Goldie and Harry Love; sisters, Pauline, Virginia, and Becky; and brother, Howard and his wife, Florence.
Family and friends may visit from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Frank E. Smith Funeral Home, Lancaster. Caring Cremation will follow and burial will take place at a later date in Maple Grove Cemetery, Baltimore.
