Margaret Echelbarger

Margaret Marie Echelbarger 94 of Baltimore, Ohio passed away Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at Reflections Assisted Living.

She was the daughter of the late Lorenz and Fannie Lehner, Sr. and was a retired bookkeeper and office manager for the AFL-CIO Columbus branch.

Margaret was a long time member of the Vega United Methodist Church in Thurman, Ohio and a member of the Order of Eastern Star.

She will be greatly missed by her loving family and many friends. Margaret is survived by her son, Gary (Geannie) Echelbarger of Canal Winchester, OH; daughter, Jaynee (Michael) Ziegler of Carroll, OH; three grandchildren, Jason (Eydie) Echelbarger, Julie (Dan) Ivan and Jody (Rick) Geier; eight great grandchildren, Lilly, Emily, David, Jimmy, Rachel, Eric, Jacob and Alaina; Clare Callender of NJ; good friend, Betty Thornton; cousin, Betty Grossman and loving Cat “Puddy”.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, James A. Echelbarger, brother, Lorenz Lehner, Jr., sister, Pauline Brown and her best friend, Hilda.

The family wishes to thank the wonderful staff at Reflections for their loving care and friendship and to FairHoPe Hospice.

Funeral service will be held Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. in the JOHNSON-SMITH FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, 207 S. MAIN ST., BALTIMORE, OH 43105 with Pastor William Lavely officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Columbus, OH. Friends may visit Monday from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
