Marcos Sergio Medina

Marcos Sergio Medina, 90, left this earth on Sunday, April 6, 2025 at the Pickering House, Lancaster Ohio. He was born on April 25, 1934 in Mariel Cuba to Santiago and Maria (Perez) Medina. He received his education in Cuba as a Stenographer . He also worked in Manufacturing. Marcos met the love of his life, Nilda, at the age of 14 and they married December 25, 1960 in the Catholic Church in Cuba.

They resided in Cuba for the first portion of their lives, then lived in Spain and were welcomed into the United States in 1967.

Marcos was a co-owner of Ferris Interior Designs and was also a Manager at Kash N Karry Grocery chain in Tampa, Fl.

He loved to watch baseball which included the Cincinnati Reds, New York Yankees and little baseball games. Marcos loved to travel.

The couple resided in Tampa Florida and retired in Miami Florida. In their later years they moved to Lancaster Ohio to be near their only (child) son.

Leaving to mourn his passing is his son, Sergio (Stacy) Medina, of Lancaster Ohio; three grandchildren, Michael Medina of Lancaster Ohio. Logan ( Jane) Zimmerer of Cincinnati, Ohio and Grant Zimmerer of Lancaster Ohio and three great-grandchildren, Hazel Zimmerer, Adalyn Zimmerer, and Eliza Zimmerer of Cincinnati, Ohio.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, his sister and numerous cousins.

Marcos’s wishes were to be cremated along with his wife, Nilda and to be taken back to Tampa Florida where they will Rest in Peace along with their parent’s.
