Marcella June “Marty” Young ran into the arms of Jesus on Monday, March 14, 2022 surrounded by her family. She was born on August 29, 1946 in Logan, Ohio to the late Henry Lee and Norma Jean Scott.
Proverbs 31:28 “Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her” THIS was Marty Young and THIS will forever be her legacy.
She was a graduate of Logan High School Class of 1964. She married her high school sweetheart on June 19, 1965 and started their lives together. Marty retired from 3M in Baltimore, Ohio and since retiring enjoyed spending time with her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren all of whom she adored. Marty was baptized at the Now Church on October 24, 2014. She was very proud to be a member of the Now Church and served wherever she could. She said this past week “I’ll be waving to you from up there soon!” She knew she was going to get to be with Jesus! Our shattering loss is most certainly Heaven’s Gain. She was a very proud wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend to many. Marcella enjoyed immensely her family, her church, and her friends. She also enjoyed painting and was very good at it! She loved like Jesus and if you ever met her, you walked away loving her.
She was a lifetime member of the Baltimore VFW Post 3761 Auxiliary.
Marcella is survived by her husband of 56 years, Charles “Chuck”; daughter, Christy (Scott) Holland; son, John (Twana) Young; 12 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren; sister, Karen Martin; brother, Ron Scott ; brother-in-law, Dave (Carol) Young aunt and uncle, Betty and John Sanford and many cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her son, Jeff, parents, sisters, Cheryl Belshe and Brenda Barton, brothers, Mike Scott and Jerry Scott and sons-in-law, Steve Ford and Tom Kay.
