Manson E. Williams, Jr., 59, of Lancaster, passed away at his home with family at his side on Tuesday, February 12, 2019.
Manson was a retired corrections officer with Southeastern Correctional Institute. After retiring from SCI, Manson enjoyed being a “professional driver” for the Fairfield Center for disAbilities and Cerebral Palsy.
Manson is survived by his wife, Norma Williams; children, Manson E. Williams III and Jamie (Doug) Queen; grandchildren, Brayden Williams, Hannah Queen, Hunter Queen, and Brianna (Josh Lawrence) Green; great granddaughter, Lily Lawrence; mother-in-law, Bessie Carper; and many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Manson was preceded in death by his parents, Margie (Beatty) and Manson E. Williams, Sr.
Funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday at the Frank E. Smith Funeral Home, 405 N. Columbus St, Lancaster, Ohio 43130 with Pastor Rory Bay officiating and assisted by Tim Woodard. Burial will follow in Stukey Cemetery, Sugar Grove. Family and friends may visit from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm Friday at the funeral home.
