M. Jeanne Keeney, age 88 of Lancaster, died on December 29th, 2014 at Autumn on Forry in Newark. She was born on November 29th, 1926 to the late W. E. and Bessy Manning Pierson in Logan. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, where she was active in the puppet ministry. She retired from Gay Fad Glassware and was a member of A.B.W.A. She and her husband were avid boaters.
She is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, Gerald Keeney, of Lancaster; niece, Patricia Dillehay; great-niece, Kyra (Dwayne) Yeager; great-nephews, Mark (Kathy) Dillehay, Michael (Penny) Dillehay; and great-great nieces and nephews, Tiffany Yeager, Garrett Yeager, Kaley Yeager, Kelsey (Nathan) McKillip, Caitlin (Kyle) McCallum, and Lucas Dillehay.
Jeanne was preceded in death by her parents, W. E. Pierson and Bessy Victoria Pierson; sisters, Clara Jane Bowen, Lucy Hankison, and Eva Campbell; and niece JeanAnn Bowen.
A service will take place at 9:30AM on Saturday at the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME, officiated by Rev. Cheryl Foulk. Burial will follow the service at Oak Grove Cemetery in Logan. Memorials can be made in Jeannes name to the First United Methodist Church Puppet Team 163 East Wheeling Lancaster, OH 43130.
