Lynda McDowell

Lynda McDowell of Sugar Grove, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, May 7, 2024 at the Pickering House.

She was a retired registered nurse for Mt. Carmel East Hospital with over 30 years of service.

Lynda attended Gibisonville United Methodist Church, enjoyed traveling in her RV, spending time in Tennessee and with her family.

She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Darrell McDowell; children, Monica (Doug) Evans of Baltimore, Scott (Melanie) Cote of Scottsdale, Arizona, Andrew Cote of Lancaster, Pamela Cote of Logan, Pennie McDowell-Barrons of Reynoldsburg and Justin (Carolyn) McDowell of Baltimore; many grandchildren, two great children; brothers and sisters.

Lynda was preceded in death by her mother, Rose and the father who raised her, Richard Rinehardt.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, May 11, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. at the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, 405 N. COLUMBUS ST., LANCASTSER, OHIO 43130 with Pastor John Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Rockbridge, Ohio. Friends may visit 2 hours prior to the service on Saturday.
