Louise Marie Bradford made her way to be with her Lord and Savior. She was born February 14, 1927 and passed on August 6, 2024. She lived a full, beautiful life filled with faith, family, and music and, those who knew her, lots of humor. In her early life she played and marched in the Lancaster High School Band. Loved the big band era, she later played keyboards in the Olivedale Nostalgics Jazz Band. Louise played the gathering music for The Lancaster First United Methodist Church, where she was a lifetime member. She also sang in the Methodist choir, taught Sunday and Bible School. In addition, she played the piano for the Lithopolis Presbyterian Church and entertained folks at nursing homes. Once in a while you might have caught sitting at a random piano playing The Boogie-woogie. She retired from a secretarial career from The Lancaster City Schools.
Louise married Owen R. Bradford and was the mother of three children. She is survived by daughters Bonnie and Connie Bradford and son John, daughter-in law, Laura Bradford, all of Lancaster, OH. Great grandchildren, Darrian White, Fairplay CO. and Owen White, Pickerington OH., her beloved niece Pam Russel, Stoutsville OH, nephew Montey Oatney and wife Nori, Melbourne FL and a special friend Paul Duval, of Lancaster OH.
She was preceded in death by Owen R. Bradford, her parents Georgia Olive Oatney and Charles Martin Oatney, sister Clara Jane Heisey, brother Charles Oatney, granddaughter and grandson Polly White and Zach Glick.
Louise loved animals, especially cats and dogs. If you feel moved to honor her life, just be kind and help these four-legged beings.
