Loretta Reed Smith

Loretta Reed Smith, age 87 died, October 24th, 2021 at OSU Medical Hospital.  She was born on December 4th, 1933 in Bremen, Ohio.  She was the secretary, the owner, the operator, and parts person at her and her late husband, Fred’s business, Reed Tractor Sales at the corner of Coonpath and route 33.  She loved spending time with her family and her personality will be greatly missed by all.

She is survived by her daughter, Dianna (Randall) Swain; grandchildren, Matthew (Lori) Swain, Bethany (Seth) Watts, Rebecca (Christopher) Cain, and Zachary  (Andrea) Swain; grandson-in-law, Pedro Escobar; great-grandchildren, Abigail, Isabel, Eden, Ethan, Selah, Evan, Hannah, Emily, Lydia, and Coral; sister, Rosalie Barnhart, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Fred E. Reed and then second husband Robert Smith; granddaughter, Leah Escobar-Swain; great granddaughter, Arabella Escobar-Swain;  parents, John and Elsie Mickey; siblings, Joseph Mickey, Elizabeth Brown, Francis Mickey, Anamarie Emmert, and Eleanora Guseman.

A funeral service will take place at 2PM on Monday November 1st  at the Frank E Smith Funeral Home.  Family and friends may visit from 12 noon until 2PM Monday at the funeral home.  Burial will follow at Amanda Twp. Cemetery at a later date. Online condolences can be made at www.funeralhome.com
