Lonnie Brent Hastings

Lonnie Brent Hastings, 69, of Lancaster, and formerly of Barnesville, OH, passed away on December 15, 2020, at the Fairfield Medical Center. He was born in Barnesville to the late Charles and Eleanor Hastings on January 26, 1951.

Lonnie enjoyed playing golf and fantasy football with his son, Brian. He also enjoyed growing tomatoes and sharing them with a few close friends. He worked for Lowe’s for 20 years and developed many lasting friendships during his time there. He was also a member of the Fairfield Christian Church.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Vivian Hastings; son, Brian (Mary Kate) Hastings; daughter, Jennifer (Ken Weinberg) Hastings; grandchildren, Joshua and Sylvia Weinberg; brother, Hugh (Ruth) Hastings; many nieces, nephews, family, and friends; and beloved pet, Sophie.

Lonnie is preceded in death by his brothers, Don, Dean, and Robert Hastings; parents; and much loved pet, Mia.

A memorial service will be held at a future time when the COVID virus is no longer such a threat to the lives of those he loved.
