Lola Dennis

Lola Kay Dennis 76 of Lancaster, Ohio passed away on Thursday, February 8, 2018 at Fairfield Medical Center. She was born on September 30, 1941, to the late Karl F. and Dolores A. (Nightingale) Dennis. Lola grew up nurturing her love of art, nature and animals, and especially loved visiting her grandma and grandpa Dennis’ farm in Sugar Grove, Ohio. She graduated in 1961 from Rushville Union High School and pursued the vocation of caregiving . She worked in the old Lancaster Hospital as a nurse’s aide and attended the First United Methodist Church.

Lola will be sadly missed by her three sisters, June (Greg) Thomas of Baltimore, Ohio, Katherine Vogel and Janet Griffith both of Lancaster, Ohio; brother, Fred (Tabatha) Dennis of Grove City, Ohio; several nieces and nephews, Brian, Andy, Candy, Katie, Karla, Tracie, Cindy, Crystal, and Allison; great nieces and nephews, Bethany, Amelia, Reagan, Cira, Gage, Gavin, Christian, Austin, Benjamin, Collin, Lincoln and Oliver.

She was preceded in death by her parents, aunts, uncles and grandparents.

Funeral service will be held Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. in the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, 405 N. COLUMBUS ST., LANCASTER, OHIO 43130 with Rev. Cheryl Foulk officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Lancaster, Ohio. Friends may visit Monday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
