Lois "Eileen" Miller

Lois “Eileen” Miller, 95, passed away peacefully on July 3, 2024 at the Pickering House in Lancaster, Ohio. She was born June 23, 1929 to the late Howard and Mary Amspaugh. Eileen was one of ten children. 

She was married to Verne Eugene Miller for 67 years, and they were long-time residents of Baltimore, Ohio. Verne and Eileen were both members of the Baltimore United Methodist Church where she was President of the UMW and other leadership roles in many church activities. She was a talented painter of chinaware, ceramics and jewelry and took pleasure in sharing her hand-painted artistry with friends and family. She enjoyed sewing, loved spending time with family and friends, and was known for her excellent cooking and baking skills, especially cherry pies.

Eileen is survived by her son, Randy Charles Miller of Devon, PA; granddaughter, Tricia Christine Miller of Royersford, PA; grandson, Andrew James Miller of El Cerrito, CA and brother, Daniel Amspaugh of Duncan Falls, OH, as well as many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held Thursday, July 11, 2024 at noon at the Johnson-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, 207 S. Main Street, Baltimore, OH. Burial will follow the service at Floral Hills Memory Gardens. Friends and family may visit from 10:00 am until the time of the service.
