Linda Notestine

Linda V. Notestine, age 69 of Lancaster, died unexpectedly at her residence on Saturday, October 27th, 2018. She was born on March 10th, 1949 in Lancaster. She is a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Sugar Grove. Linda worked 4 decades for the school system at Greensboro, NC, Snellville, GA, Oconee County, SC, and Forest Rose here in Lancaster. Linda loved spending time with her family and will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, James “Jim” Notestine; son, Craig (Traci) Notestine; only grandson, Jake S.; mother, Ruth Valentine; mother-in-law, Ruth Notestine; sisters, Marcela (David) Lape and Sherry (Mike) Johnson; sister-in-law, Charlotte Pierce; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Linda is preceded in death by her father, Robert “Zeke” Valentine; father-in-law, Charles Notestine; and brother-in-law, David Notestine.

A funeral service will take place at on Thursday Nov. 1st, 2018 at 2:30PM at the Trinity Sponagle Lutheran Church, 7120 Sponagle Rd. Sugar Grove, OH, officiated by Rev. Danny Koch. Family and friends may call two hours prior at the church, from 12:30PM Thursday, until the time of service. Burial will follow the service there at the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Nationwide Children’s Cystic Fibrosis Fund, PO BOX 16810 Columbus, OH 43216-6810.
