Sleeth
Lester Les W. Sleeth 84 of Lancaster, Ohio died Thursday, May 5, 2011 at Rockmill Rehabilitation Center.
He was a World War II US Navy veteran and a retired project manager for Turner Construction. He was a member of Olivedale Senior Citizens Center, woodcarver with Charlie Chippers and loved to play dominoes.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Betty Sleeth; children, Beverly (Ed) Daubenmire of Centerburg, Ohio, Gregory (Mary) Sleeth of Lancaster, Ohio, Marsha Goss of Somerset, Ohio, Lamira (David) Rogers of Columbus, Ohio, and Arleen (Michael) Sedita of Florida; grandchildren, Keith, Kristeena, Jena, Zac, Melissa, Alice, Matthew, Eric, John, and Kurt; great grandchildren, Austin, Ryan, Lauren, Jerrod, Alesis and Kelsy; sister, Virginia Grau of New Jersey; many nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death his parents, Warner and Effie Sleeth, 2 grandchildren, Trevor and Victoria, 2 brothers, John Tenney and Orville Sleeth and sister, Margaret Sleeth.
A memorial service will be held Monday, May 9, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. at the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL AND CREMATORY, 405 N. COLUMBUS ST., LANCASTER, OHIO 43130 with Rev. Brian Dillahunt of First English Lutheran Church officiating. Caring Cremation has taken place. Friends may visit 1 hour prior the service at the funeral home.
