Leah Escobar Swain left this world early on November 19, 2019. She was born March 1, 1992 in Lancaster, Ohio, the youngest of five children, to Randall and Dianna Swain.
Leah attended Eastland Performing Arts High School in Reynoldsburg, OH. After graduating from high school, she obtained her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Dance and Theatre Arts from Cornerstone University in Grand Rapids, MI. After college, Leah lived in PA for a year, after which she moved to Salem, OR. In Salem, she worked in a special education classroom at Keizer Elementary School as an instructional assistant. More recently, she worked at Northbank Surgical Center as a medical assistant.
Leah’s love for life was contagious to all those around her. Her love of dance led her to meet and fall in love with Pedro Escobar. They were married on the beach at Neskowin, OR on August 10, 2019. Their daughter, Arabella Leah Escobar Swain was born on November 19, 2019 and was brought home to be with Leah on November 26, 2019.
Survivors include her parents, Randall and Dianna Swain of Amanda, OH; husband, Pedro; and step-son, Leonardo Escobar (all of Salem, OR);grandmother, Loretta Reed of Lancaster, OH siblings, Matthew (Lori) Swain of Salem, OR, Bethany (Seth) Watts of Shippensburg, PA, Zachary (Andrea) Swain of Lancaster, OH, and Rebecca (Christopher) Cain of Flagstaff; and several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will take place on Sat. Dec. 7th from 4PM until 7PM at the Frontline Church of God, 5195 Amanda Northern Rd. SW Amanda, OH 43102. Online condolences can be made at www.funeralhome.com
