Laura "LaLa" (Sanders) Coey

Laura “LaLa” (Sanders) Coey 48 of Rockbridge, Ohio passed away on Saturday, December 25, 2021 at Riverside Methodist Hospital.  She was a homemaker, enjoyed painting, helping and taking care of kids and her family.

Laura is survived by her husband of 22 years, Carl Coey; son, Braighton (Meagan) Coey of Godfrey, Illinois; daughter, Cierra Coey of Rockbridge, Ohio; granddaughter, McKenzie Coey; parents, Larry and Skeet Sanders of Bremen, Ohio; brothers, Erin Sanders of Rockbridge, Ohio and Brandon Sanders of  Crawfordsville, Indiana; sisters, Shelley Carpenter of Hebron, Ohio, Leanne Asbell of Georgia, Clara Jo Asbell of Shawnee, Ohio, Ruby (Glenn) Riddle of Indiana and Barbie (Rod) Hunley and family of Milton, Florida; Jeff “Papa Jeff” Riddle of Milton, Florida; mother-in-law, Catherine “Katie” Coey of Junction City, Ohio; brother-in-law, Charles “Chuck” Coey of Junction City, Ohio; special nieces, Bethany Sanders and Ivy Lemaster, special nephew, Hunter Sanders, also other nieces and nephews and extended family.

She was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Charles “Mike” Coey; Martha “Mamma Marty” Riddle; and grandparents.

Caring Cremation® is being handled by the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, LANCASTER, OHIO. A Celebration of Life service will be held in April 2022 with details to follow.
