Larry Niceswanger

Larry J. Niceswanger, age 77 of Lancaster, Ohio and formerly of Athens, Ohio, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at his home. He was born in 1941 to Dale and Audrey (Scott) Niceswanger in Chesterhill, Ohio. He graduated from Athens High School in 1959. And serve d in the Ohio National Guard for six years.

In 1965, Larry married Linda (Fields) and they moved to Lancaster. He was employed by Essex International, Ralston Purina and he built and remolded homes in the Lancaster and Athens areas. He was a member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church.

Larry is survived by his wife of 53 years, Linda; two sons, Brian (Mitsi) Niceswanger of Canal Winchester, Ohio and Brad (Alicia) Niceswanger of Lancaster, Ohio; five grandchildren, Madeline, Bennett and Jay of Canal Winchester, Ohio and Marcus and Jackson of Lancaster, Ohio; two sisters-in-law, Roseann Sedwick of The Plains, Ohio and Carolyn Coen of Harwich, Massachusetts; brother-in-law, Greg Coen of Plainfield, New Jersey; uncle and aunt, Jack (Judy) Scott of Zanesville, Ohio and several nieces and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two infant siblings and two brothers-in-law, Jack Sedwick and Darrell Coen.

Funeral service will held Monday, September 24, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, 405 N. COLUMBUS ST., LANCASTER, OHIO 43130 with Pastor Brenda Brashear officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens. Friends may visit Sunday from 2-4 p.m. at the funeral home and 1 hour prior to the service on Monday.
