Larry Edward Graf went to his heavenly home on Sunday, December 24, 2017 after suffering a sudden heart attack. He was 66 years of age being born on April 23, 1951 in Lancaster, Ohio.
Larry attended Ohio University-Lancaster and worked his way up from holding various machinist jobs to starting his own machine tool business in 1991 to present. Larry enjoyed talking with people and no one was a stranger to him. He had a caring spirit and a giving heart always putting others before himself. Larry loved all sports and always enjoyed the opportunities to watch OSU Buckeye Football games with his childhood friend, Randy Stalder. Larry also liked running marathons when he was younger including running in the Boston Marathon back in the early 1970’s. In his spare time, he had a passion for reading and learning which included anything about Colorado, the Old West, trains, sports, log home construction and entrepreneur opportunities.
Larry loved his church and was a member of The Little Country Church in Lancaster, Ohio.
He leaves his beloved wife, Deborah with 42 years of marriage and their pets; a twin brother, Gary Graf of Columbus, Ohio; sisters, Norma Richards and Dorothy Klump both of Lancaster, Ohio; sister-in-law, Barbara Graf of Bremen, Ohio ; brother-in-law, Steve Woodgeard of Sugar Grove, Ohio as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Agnes and Raymond Graf, three brothers, Bill Graf, Bob Graf and Raymond Graf, Jr. and sister, Donna Mae Woodgeard.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. in the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, 405 N. COLUMBUS ST., LANCASTER, OHIO 43130 with Larry’s brother-in-law, Pastor Tim McClellan, Dr. Tom Fowler and Dr. Bill Beausay officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Rose Cemetery. Friends may visit 2 hours prior the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
In Lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses for Larry.
